Following our weekly schedule, we are glad to share with you the second episode of Life Of The Artist.
In this second video, we have the pleasure of meeting with contemporary artist Sarah Derat to discuss how she powerfully brings together mythology and technology in a sculptural art practice that is as much reflective as it is physical.
Sarah Derat is a French artist living in London, holding both a BA and MA in Fine Arts from the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts de Paris.
Across different materials such as steel, latex, fabric, Sarah Derat’s sculptural practice explores the nature of relationships, and our desire to see them last. Her works explore themes such as parallel lives, digital afterlife and repetition as a possible rebirth cycle.
